I love the city and would love to return soon. To think that my ancestors once walked the same streets, looked up at the the same buildings and called Bath home made it extra special for me. I am still trying to find out more about my family from this area. My grandmother was Daisy Mabel Stokes and her father was Edward Stokes. Edward from what I find out came originally from Frome. Next time I think we must call in there too.

Bath Part 2
I made the mistake as we entered the Cath Kidston shop of recounting to OH about the blog I had read recently how one of the shops had not let them take photo's inside. My apologies to the blogger who wrote it (it could have been Sal's Snippet's). Anyway as we were waiting for a much need meal to be placed in front of us later that day, I started to browse the snaps he had taken throughout the day. You can imagine my horror when I saw the photo's below of the store. Next time I go into one of their shops I'm going to leave him outside or even at home!

Yes it was me..it was in York...so I stood outside the shop and zoomed in with my camera!!;-)
Glad you enjoyed Bath.
Sal-Thanks for letting me know it was you. I have added a link to your blog. At least you asked before trying to take your photo's.x
gorgeous photos - I love those sweeping terraces and crescents of wonderful houses. The Royal Crescent is spectacular and the Circus too. Milsom Street and the Pultney Bridge. My favourite place is the costume museum in the Assembly Rooms. We were last there in 2004 for our 25th wedding anniversary and I'd love to go back again. How wonderful to have ancestors who lived there:)
Thanks for a lovely tour. Just what I needed.
Lovely Bath photos.
I've never been inside a Cath Kidston shop, it must be wonderful.
